Good Times Frame – Ebonised Blackwood Edition 1

Inspired by mid-century and modernist framing — a generous expanse of Blackwood surrounding one small, precious photograph.

Each frame is traditionally ebonised by hand, using a reactive finishing process that works with the natural tannins in the timber to deepen its colour. Rather than covering the Blackwood with paint, the process transforms it — creating a rich charcoal-black finish while allowing the natural grain and variation of the timber to remain visible.

The natural variation in Blackwood, combined with the ebonising process, means every frame develops its own distinctive tone, grain and character. No two are quite the same.
